Aviation Standoff Eases as Ottawa Certifies U.S.-Made Business Jets

Transport Canada has approved Gulfstream's new business jets, G700 and G800. This approval came after a few weeks after a threat by US President Donald Trump, where he threatened to decertify Canada's aviation industry and impose 50% tariffs on them until US Jets were approved. After this move, it's expected that the trade war between both countries can eventually end soon, which particularly targeted Canadian company Bombardier. Although there is uncertainty about the operational capacity of this fleet during the snow issues, still these jets are free to be registered and flown in Canada.
